Vanderbilt, Dall, Ayeiy, and Shady Trips All To Be Announced

-Marina del Rey, Ca.
-Event Mgr. William Vanderbilt, Head Scouter Jim Dall, Executive Assistant Arthur Ayeiy, and Executive Assistant Beryl Shady all will embark on four separate-but-at-times-conjoined trips later this month and into September for purposes of scouting, contract negotiation, and other matters. All four will stop by for the next Feast Fest exhibition, on Saturday, August 31, at Kitchen Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Full schedules for the four are expected later today, but it is known that the trips will take them across as many as seventeen countries on five continents.

Feast Fest XIX Logo to be Released

-Marina del Rey, Ca.
-Feast Fest Logo Designer Remunne Tchaikov is slated to officially release the Feast Fest XIX (2013) logo later today. Executive Assistant Beryl Shady confirmed that Tchaikov had completed the logo and had sent it to Feast Fest, where it was scheduled for release sometime Tuesday.

"Mr. Tchaikov did a spectacular job of designing our wondrous 2012 logo, and I am certain his creation will only further capture the spirit of the event here in 2013," Shady said in a press release.

Tchaikov took over the job of Logo Designer in 2012 from Andris Petrys, who designed the event's logos from 1999 to 2011.

Although officials loved Tchaikov's logo in 2012, others were not so thrilled. Art critics gave Tchaikov's 2012 logo a 6.4 on a 10 point scale, following critic scores of 7.2, 8.4, and 7.9, respectively, in 2011, 2010, and 2009. The best rated FF logo by art critics was Petrys's masterpiece in 2004.

Shelstinnia Leaving Again

-Bradford, U.K.
-Feast Fest chef Rina Shelstinnia is leaving Feast Fest after contractual negotiations flamed out Tuesday.

Shelstinnia (4/25/76) brought her World talents to Feast Fests XII (2006) and XVIII (2012). Shelstinnia was fired in December 2006 due to punctuality failure at FF XII, but got and fulfilled a second chance at FF XVIII. "Ms. Shelstinnia had a spectacular 2012 performance, and her struggles in 2006 did not factor into this decision," assured Head Scouter Jim Dall.

Rather, Dall said that Shelstinnia's hop across the pond to a restaurant in England had made it difficult for her to travel to the event and its exhibitions. She hasn't even been able to attend any exhibitions because her contract has been in limbo since January.

In hopes of putting the long case to an end, Dall and other scouters attempted to lure Shelstinnia with a $457,288, staggered 3-year deal through Feast Fest 2015, with an opt-out option after Feast Fest 2013 if she felt the travel arrangements weren't working. The offer followed a Jul. 1 offer for $422,246 per year over two years, with a opt-out option, and a Mar. 3 offer for $412,443 per year for one year.

Shelstinnia officially rejected the third offer Tuesday, and scouters then announced that they would cease negotiations with Shelstinnia. Rina Shelstinnia said she was "saddened" that an agreement could not be reached, but she hoped that Feast Fest would "keep a seat warm for [her] for a possible 2014 return."

Expert commentator Mike Vilshire said that the Scouting Department's unwillingness to pursue the matter further showed that "they think of Shelstinnia as a low-tiered, expendable chef whom they can replace easily."

Shelstinnia racked up 24 NCA points at Feast Fest 2012, and 6 in 2006.
